In-House Laboratory Services
Our complete in-house laboratory system allows us to promptly test and diagnose symptoms of sick animals who need urgent diagnosis. In addition to sick animals, we routinely screen pets both in the hospital or through external laboratory services for wellness purposes and prior to surgical and dental procedures. We also have the ability to perform comprehensive fecal analysis (testing for parasites and other causes of diarrhea) and to analyze urine samples for infection and other abnormalities. Microscopic evaluation of ear and skin infections help us identify the types of organisms present, enabling us to initiate rapid and targeted treatment. We also offer a range of specialty laboratory services.
Radiology/Ultrasound Technology
Our on-site radiology services cover a spectrum of diagnostic needs. From routine x-rays of the chest and abdomen to orthopedic studies to evaluate for bone abnormalities and to contrast studies of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, we can do it all! We even offer OFA radiographs to aid in the evaluation and certification of your pet’s hip and elbow health. Our radiology system produces high-quality digital images, enabling us to collaborate with specialists around the country via telemedicine. Expert opinions, when needed, can be obtained in as little as one hour.
Ultrasound Services
Our ultrasound services provide valuable insights into internal organ structures, heart function, abnormal fluid build-up in body cavities, the detection of bladder and kidney stones, identification of tumors and their location, among other applications. For advanced cases, we coordinate with specialists to provide complete diagnostic ultrasound in our hospital or via referral, where necessary.
